After earning a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Wheelock College in 1993, Elizabeth taught middle school Gifted and Talented students for 6 years. She then went to work for the United Way of Hunterdon County as a Campaign Assistant. In that position she planned and organized the 7th & 8th Annual Days of Caring - involving over 200 community volunteers, coordinated and managed the local media campaign, and increased charitable giving an average of 30% per year in three major divisions of the United Way Annual Campaign.
Elizabeth left that position to support her husband in his professional and political career. Elizabeth has successfully managed her husband’s 1999 & 2002 Council Elections and 2003 Mayoral Election. She served as the Democratic State Committeewoman from Hunterdon County from 2001 through 2005. She served on the Hampton Board of Education from 1999 through 2005, serving as Vice-President for 3 years. She volunteered for the Hampton Borough Community Educational Foundation, where she raised over $5,000 to benefit the local school district. In 2004 and 2005, Elizabeth co-chaired Hampton Founder’s Day, a public community day, including food, entertainment and contests, attended by over 300 Hampton residents. She has consulted as a volunteer with a number of local charitable organizations, including The Wellness Community of Central New Jersey, regarding event planning and fund-raising.
Elizabeth has always had a passion for event planning. She loves the sense of pride from a job done well. She loves the satisfaction of making people’s visions come to life. She loves knowing that her work has made a real difference in someone’s world.
